Principal’s Letter – 04/09/21

April 9, 2021

Dear St. Joseph School Families

Happy Easter Week to everyone! Alleluia! We have come through Easter Week and now are moving on to a well-deserved vacation week. May everyone enjoy time of rest and relaxation, returning to school safe and healthy.

I wish to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for our family. If anyone wishes to read the tribute for my brother Michael, it can be found on the web site for Short Funeral Services, Milton Delaware.

School will resume on April 19th. Our next progress report will be sent home on April 30th.  Please continue to consult the monthly calendar for the remaining weeks of the school year for any important dates that may be forthcoming. For those planning for 8th Grade Graduation, this will take place on the first Saturday of June at the 4:30 p.m. Mass at St. Joseph Church.

Mrs. Bustamonte wishes to remind our students and their parents that the Young Author’s program is underway.  Student submissions are due to Mrs. B by the first Friday of May.

We wish to thank all who contributed to the Afghan Library Fundraiser, especially Mrs. Pernerewski, whose time and talent provided the beautiful afghan.  The winner was chosen today and the afghan will be taken home by Preston Smith, 5th grade student.  The $456 earned will be used for our Library.

I ask that everyone pray for our students who will be receiving their First Holy Communion this Sunday at St. Joseph Church at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Also, please continue to pray for all those in our school family and beyond who are in need of our prayers.  Once again, enjoy the vacation week.

Sincerely,

Marianne Cote, Principal
