Principal’s Letter – 06/08/21

June 8, 2021

Dear St. Joseph School Families,

May I begin this letter with a prayer of thanksgiving to God that our school was able to remain open from September 1st until tomorrow?  We are grateful to our parents and families for maintaining the required regulations to keep everyone at school safe and healthy. Our students were models for everyone as they adhered to the health requirements and work so hard each day. I will be ever thankful to our faculty and staff for this wonderful, yet challenging year, certainly one none of us will ever forget.

Since the next school year appears to be looking as if there will be more normalcy, we will be returning to all of our uniform rules.  Hoodies will no longer be worn in the classrooms.  Uniforms are made to order and so you are asked to order early in the summer to receive them on time for school.  We remind rising 6th graders that the uniform in the middle grades is somewhat different than the earlier grades.  Many of you take advantage of our gently used uniforms, but not all sizes are available.  Please consult our handbook on the school website for further information regarding the uniforms.

Congratulations to our newest Alumni, the Class of 2021, and their families. It of special note that we are saying farewell to eight families whose youngest child has now completed his or her education here at St. Joseph School. We extend a sincere thank you to them for their continued support throughout these many years with the hope that this support will continue long into the future. We wish our new Alums well as they move to the next phase of their education and their lives, and remind them and their parents that we are always available to them should they need us in anyway.

Our calendar for next year will be posted on the webpage at sjsnl.com within the coming weeks.

Registration continues for Grades K-7 (8th grade registration is closed.).  If you are aware of someone who is interested in attending St. Joseph School for those grade levels, please invite them to call the school office.  Tours have resumed for those who are interested.  Please call for an appointment.

Enjoy a safe and healthy summer with your children!  Our prayers are with you all!

God’s Blessings,

Marianne Cote, Principal
