“A Holy Place Where We Discover Each Other In God’s Love.”

April 6, 2022

Dear St. Joseph School Families,

We continued our Lenten prayer this week with the sign of anointing. We remembered that each of us was anointed with oil in Baptism to be prophets of Christ’s royal priesthood.  It is in this anointing that we are called to serve the people of God, and thus, to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

As indicated in the message you received yesterday, we will close at 12 noon for the remainder of the week. There will be no after school care.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We congratulate the 7th Grade on their performance of Alice in Wonderland. Now we look forward to Toy Story with Grade 8 at the end of April.

Many thanks to those who supported the Recovery Room fundraiser. The Good Friday Fish Fry on April 15th at Captain Scott’s. will also benefit St. Joseph School.  We thank you for participating.

As you know we continue to work on the renewal of our 10-year accreditation with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.  This presents much work for many people.  A team will visit our school twice in the course of this process, a new format for the Association.  The visits will take place on April 26th this year and on October 23rd-26th. of the next school year.  Writing and research is being accomplished by our entire staff, as well as our School Board and their committees. In the fall we will be asking for some parents to meet the visiting committee, as a part of their work. Your prayers for all of us and the success of the visits are greatly appreciated.

For your future planning, Holy Thursday, April 14th is a 12:30 p.m. dismissal day and on April 15th, Good Friday there is NO SCHOOL The following week, April 18th-22nd, is our Spring vacation. School resumes on April 25th.

Progress reports will be distributed after the Spring vacation.

As always, you are in our prayers.  Please continue to keep us in yours.

God Bless You,

Marianne Cote, Principal
