This week is Nurse’s and Teacher’s Week for us at St. Joseph School and so we will be celebrating each other!!
We look forward to seeing the Moms of our children in Grades K, 1, and 2 for a special Mother’s Day celebration this Friday at 11:15 a.m. If the mom is unable to attend, a grandmother, aunt or special friend may come.
With the warmer weather coming, we are considering when to begin with our warm weather uniform. We have been holding off a bit as the mornings have been quite cold, even into this week. Our plan is to start with the Khaki Shorts and polo shirts with school logo on May 9th. This also means sneakers—solid blue, black, gray or white only—may be worn.
We did have a few winners among the Ducks that were sold by our school. Hopefully, when we participate in the race next year, our Ducks will bring in additional winners. Many thanks to all who took part.
Progress reports were distributed on Friday, April 29th. If you did not receive yours, please contact your child’s teacher.
Please consult our May calendar for additional important dates, including play dates, Grade K through 2 Mother’s Day Tea on May 6th at 11:15 a.m., and field trips.
Our last day of school for this year will be June 8th. The final three days are early dismissal days. June 6th and 7th will be 12:30 dismissal days with aftercare available. June 8th, the last day, will end at 10:30. No aftercare is available on the last day.
Some field trips are being planned for the last weeks of this school year. Please look for information from your child’s classroom teachers in the coming weeks and on the monthly calendar.
Reminder: Payments for after school care are due. Many have been very punctual with these payments. If you are in arrears, please forward your payments ASAP.
You are in our prayers each day and we ask that you keep us in yours.
Sincerely,
Marianne Cote, Principal
