“A Holy Place Where We Discover Each Other In God’s Love.”

April 19, 2023

Dear St. Joseph School Families,

ALLELUIA!  Happy Easter!  The Easter Season is still with us and will be for several weeks to come. Easter is most of all about NEW LIFE in Jesus Christ!  Easter is about the new life to which each of us is called because Jesus himself—human and divine—brought this gift to us on the very first Easter morning!  We continue to rejoice in the knowledge that because we are loved unconditionally by God, we too will rise again! We hope that everyone has had some rest and relaxation with the children, but we also know that this isn’t always a possibility.  This being said it’s our hope that Easter has brought some renewal everyone’s life.

We congratulate our 7th and 8th graders who participated in the Living Stations on Good Friday night.  For those who attended a very prayerful and reverent “prayer performance” was observed.  Thank you to all who were able to be with us.

Yesterday, we had a visit from Dr. Gail Kingston, our Diocesan superintendent. She enjoyed talking with some of our students and visiting in some of our classrooms. As her gift to everyone, Dr. Kingston has asked me to give a casual day this Friday, April 21st.  Therefore, this Friday will be a no uniform day!

Our students who are preparing for their First Holy Communion will be receiving this Sacrament on April 30th at the 10:30 Mass.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers.

Mrs. Williamson, our librarian, wishes to remind you and your children that our Young Author’s Writing Program is well underway.  Submissions are due on May 4th.

If anyone wishes to attend the special dinner for our school which is being held at Filomena’s Restaurant on Sunday starting at 4 p.m., tickets are still available at the Church Office next door to the school.

Our 8th Grade is busy preparing for their class play on April 28th at 1 p.m. They have many activities in the coming weeks as they look toward Graduation.  We pray for them as they continue to study and work toward their remaining weeks at St. Joseph School.

Re-registrations for the next school year are due.  If you have not already done so, please complete the form that was sent to you both electronically and in hard copy

All candy money is due by tomorrow, April 20th. I remind you that this is meant to cover the expenses of Games Day.  Without these funds, we will have to eliminate the team shirts for the students. Thank you for your assistance.

Please keep us in your continued Easter prayers, as you are in ours daily.

Sincerely,

Marianne Cote, Principal
