“This is a holy place where we discover each other in God’s love.”
February 14, 2024
Dear St. Joseph School Families,
We wish everyone a happy Valentine’s Day, and a prayerful beginning of the Lenten season, as it is also Ash Wednesday today. This day signals the beginning of Lent and our journey toward Easter. Your children attend the celebration of the Eucharist today and also received the ashes. Ashes are a sign of many things, but especially our decision to turn from sinful ways, as we walk in the footsteps of Jesus. For those of you who watched the Superbowl, famous for its interesting ads, you may have seen the one with the “washing of the feet”, that’s Lent in a nutshell. We are called to pray, sacrifice, and serve others.
